Beyond their appeal to tourists, these small fish, and the country’s rich tradition of tinned seafood, have long been an essential part of Portuguese cuisine, allowing the fish to be enjoyed all year round and shared far beyond the coast.

Portugal has a long, beautiful and often gruelling fishing tradition, to which we would like to pay tribute.
